In an era where soundbites and viral moments can define political trajectories, Pierre Poilievre's recent apple orchard interview has become emblematic of his assertive style, resonating from local cafes in Ontario to international figures like Elon Musk and Megyn Kelly.
The interview has especially showed that PP is good at lying and the journalist was weak, given there are countless examples of PP using left-right clivage to make a wedge.
Having been a Progressive Conservative for 50 years, I will work flat out in the next election for whatever party has the best chance, to see that the Conservative candidate in my riding is defeated. The only way to get rid of Poilievre is at the ballot box. He makes my stomach turn.
It’s amazing how the bombshell of an article with the whistleblower from his campaign who talked about what they did to win got ignored. We all knew it. He confirmed it. We put our hands over our eyes and ears on that one .
It’s also amazing how people ignored the fact that he went on CBC news after the cabinet shuffle and fabricated all kinds of lies saying things like Anita Anand was “removed” from the defence ministry because she found out things about the Trudeau Family , so she had to be removed among other conspiracy theory he spit out in the same breath. Come on.
It’s also amazing how he rallied for a ton of new memberships to the Conservative Party simply to get himself voted in- the same ton of memberships that didn’t renew this year, leaving us “true blues” who have been members for 30 years holding the bag for a leader we didn’t want. He’s embarrassing to our party.
It’s also amazing What right learners are willing to brush under the carpet considering they are the same things they criticize JT for doing.
People don’t vote for Trudeau because they think he’s the best choice , they vote for the devil they know because they other choice is worse.
The trouble for him is that Centrists haven’t forgotten how he cozied up to Nazis at the trucker convoy and encouraged people who were there to over throw our democratic institutions.
Centrists haven’t forgotten how he hired someone to dig into Patrick Brown’s background that forced him to drop out of the leadership race because of false accusations by his team , and turned out to be a nothing burger in the end. Nice move .
Centrists from Southern Ontario can’t stand the sight of him. Quebecers are repulsed by him. Throw in the female vote in that mix and we’ll, another win for Trudeau .
People who are just getting to know him are already annoyed by his USA style strategy of repetitive ads and sound bites are meant to hypnotize people who are just getting to know him into believe something he is not. He is banking on voters’ ignorance to win.
Female voters (over 50% of the vote) think he’s a creep and give “Handmaids Tale” vibes - one can’t deny the strength of the female instinct
The fact that the MAGAs in the USA want him, tells us all we need to know about him. Is he really the best Conservatives have to offer ? The whole “do and say anything to win” a la Trump is getting old and doesn’t work. Canadians are too savvy to fall for that .
