I'm excited to share my latest iPolitics.ca column on a moment that has captivated not only Canada but the world: "Biting into Politics: Poilievre's Orchard Moment Captivates Canada."
In an era where soundbites and viral moments can define political trajectories, Pierre Poilievre's recent apple orchard interview has become emblematic of his assertive style, resonating from local cafes in Ontario to international figures like Elon Musk and Megyn Kelly.
I dive into the significance of this moment, the momentum shift in Canadian politics, and the challenges faced by the Liberals. How do genuine, unplanned moments shape the political landscape in our digital age? And will the Liberals find their own moments of resonance as Canada approaches its next electoral showdown?
You can read the full column here. As always, I'd love to hear your thoughts, comments, and insights. Do moments like these influence your political perspective?
Warm regards,
Fred
The interview has especially showed that PP is good at lying and the journalist was weak, given there are countless examples of PP using left-right clivage to make a wedge.
Having been a Progressive Conservative for 50 years, I will work flat out in the next election for whatever party has the best chance, to see that the Conservative candidate in my riding is defeated. The only way to get rid of Poilievre is at the ballot box. He makes my stomach turn.
